Introduction

Kinex Apps ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Spell Quest mobile application (the "App"), a general-audience spelling and vocabulary game for early readers, English-language learners, and families. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the App and how you can control it.

Information We Collect

We do not ask for, collect, or store any personal information. The App has no accounts, no sign-up, and no email collection, and we do not run our own servers or analytics. Our advertising partner, Google AdMob, may collect certain data as described below.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob (advertising)

We use Google AdMob to show banner, full-screen, and native (in-app card) advertisements, each clearly labeled as an ad. Depending on your consent choices, AdMob may collect:

Device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt
IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location (country or region)
Ad interaction data, such as ad views and taps
Performance, diagnostic, and crash data about ad delivery

Apple StoreKit (purchases)

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Your Choices and Consent

App Tracking Transparency: The App asks your permission before the advertising identifier (IDFA) can be used for tracking. You can change this at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. The App works fully whether you allow or decline.
European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland: Where required, Google's consent form is shown when the App starts, so you can choose whether ads may be personalized. You can change your choice any time in the App under Settings > Privacy Policy > Ad Privacy Choices.
Remove ads: The Premium purchase turns off all advertising in the App.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App keeps the following on your device only, using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults). This data is never sent to us:

Sound and music settings
Premium purchase status
Selected difficulty and word pack
Whether the consent prompts have been completed

Children's Privacy

Spell Quest is designed for a general audience and is not listed in the App Store's Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Advertising in the App is provided by Google AdMob under the consent choices described above. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions about your child's use of the App, please contact us using the details below.

In-App Purchase

The App offers Spell Quest Premium, a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that removes all ads and unlocks the Medium, Hard, and Random word packs. The current price is shown in the App in your local currency before you buy. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges, and the purchase can be restored for free on any device signed in with the same Apple ID (Settings > Restore Purchases).

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, delete, or object to the processing of personal data. Because we do not hold personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data are handled through Google; you can also contact us and we will help.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
